For over a year I avoided learning to knit a cable, but then I saw this great pattern...
This pattern is from Interweave Press's Bag Style. The length ended up being a little longer than the pattern, so this just means more space to fill! I used Louisa Harding's Grace Silk & Wool yarn in Dark Teal - most amazing yarn I've used so far.
A few tips for making this bag:
1. When you sew in the snap frame, make sure the pointed ends will be facing down after you flip everything into place
2. Sew/attach some fabric to the ends of the snap frame to help prevent them from poking through your knitted fabric
3. Stitch the snap frame into place, otherwise it will shift around and around each time you open and close the bag.
